Everything here is made to order, so the questions people ask are different from a stocked product. There is no return bin for a door built to one specific opening, which shapes how ordering, checking and warranty work.

Lead times

Most custom doors ship in 4 to 6 weeks from the date the order is confirmed, not the date it was placed. Those are different dates if we are still waiting on a dimension or a hardware model from you.

Prefinished units add about a week for spray and cure. Leaded glass, true divided lites and iron doors add one to two weeks. We give you a firm ship week at confirmation rather than an estimate at checkout.

What happens after you order

You get an order confirmation listing every dimension and option exactly as we will build it. Read it. That document is what we manufacture from, and it is also what the fit guarantee is measured against. Changes are free until the order enters production, which is usually two to three business days after confirmation.

Freight and delivery

Doors ship crated by LTL freight. Liftgate service is available on residential addresses and we recommend it, because a crated entry door is not a two-person lift off the back of a trailer.

Inspect the crate before you sign. Note any damage on the delivery receipt even if the door itself looks fine, because a signed clean receipt makes a freight claim considerably harder to pursue.

Fit guarantee

If a door does not match the dimensions on your order confirmation, we remake it at no cost and cover the freight both ways. That is our error and we own it.

Measurement errors on your side are not covered. A door built correctly to a wrong number is still a door nobody else can use. This is the reason the measuring guide exists and the reason we ask for three readings per dimension.

Warranty

Five years on wood and fiberglass slabs against defect in materials or workmanship. Ten years on insulated glass seals against fogging. Lifetime on hardware against manufacturing defect. Finish is covered for two years against peeling or delamination, which is separate from normal weathering on an exposed elevation.

What is not covered

Normal finish weathering, damage from water intrusion caused by an installation problem outside the door unit, and any slab that has been cut, planed or bored on site. Field modification voids the slab warranty because it exposes the core.
