We are a door manufacturer, not a reseller

Custom Doors USA has built made-to-measure doors in Memphis, TN since 1998. Everything sold on this site is machined, assembled and finished in our own shop, which is the only reason we can quote a non-standard size online instead of sending it out as a special order with a four week wait for a price.

Why we only build custom

Stock door sizes solve a manufacturing problem, not a homeowner problem. Eight sizes let a mill run continuously and let a retailer hold inventory. They cover new construction and very little else.

Every remodel, every addition, every house built before framing was standardized, and every floor that got raised when someone tiled over the subfloor produces an opening that is not on the list. The industry answer has been to reframe the wall or trim the door until it binds. Ours is to build the door to the opening.

What that means in practice

There is no stock room here. Nothing ships from a shelf, which means nothing is ever the wrong size because it was the closest thing available. It also means a mistake cannot be swapped, so we confirm every dimension in writing before a slab is cut.

What we make

Entry and exterior doors, interior passage and double doors, closet, bifold and pocket doors, sliding patio doors, screen and storm doors, barn doors, dutch doors, iron doors and glass doors. Nineteen ranges, all built to size, from 18 inches wide to 24 feet across a four panel glass wall.

How we build

Slabs are machined on CNC from your dimensions, then hung, finished and crated by hand. The machining is what makes a custom size affordable. The hand work is what makes it worth buying. Domestic hardwood comes from Midwest mills, glass is tempered regionally, and steel and iron are fabricated and welded in house.

Where we ship

Nationwide by crated LTL freight, with liftgate delivery available on residential addresses. Lead time is 4 to 6 weeks from order confirmation for most units. We do not currently ship to Alaska, Hawaii or outside the United States.
